This week marks the one year anniversary of my stem cell transplant. David and I made the trip yesterday to Cleveland for my one year follow up. My doctors are happy with where I am holding and things continue to remain stable. I have my ups and downs and I’m still working to manage my symptoms. Whoever described the road to recovery as a roller coaster, could not have been more accurate . I will continue working with OT/PT and keep on getting stronger! I am clear on the transplant end, but will need to continue with my biannual visits to the MS clinic.
After returning home from a long day at the Cleveland Clinic, my awesome friends surprised me with a One year birthday celebration! Whoever knows me, knows I love my surprise parties! Complete with pizza and an ice cream cake and all! 🎂
I want to thank all my friends, family, the Pittsburgh community, as well as the Cleveland community, for their continued support! From all the visits, texts, calls, gifts, and food! None has gone unnoticed! From checking in with David, driving my kids to school or practice, watching Cody, the list goes on…
As we prepare for Passover, different memories on how I celebrated last year keep replaying in my head. While David and I celebrated in isolation at the hospital, we sent the kids to New York to celebrate with my parents. Looking forward to celebrating together as a family this year! 💗
